Forester End of 2013-14 Season Summary
   The Foresters ended their 2013-14 season with 24 wins, averaging 76.1 points a game.  Their high game was 110 points versus Ohio State-Mansfield (Nov 16).  They allowed 66.1 points a game for an average scoring margin of +10.1 points a game.
   They averaged 1.125 points per offensive possession (1.092 in CL games) and allowed 0.977 points per opponent possession (1.027 in CL games); those overall stats ranked #3 and #2, respectively, among the CL teams.  They provided assists on 58.8% of their field goals this season.
   Huntington was #3 in the CL with 15.8 assists per game and an assist/turnover ratio of 1.254 overall (1.103 in CL games), which ranked #3 in the CL.  The team had assists on 23.3% of their possessions and turnovers on 18.6% of their possessions.
   HU had 34.1 rebounds a game with a rebound margin of +5.16 per game.  That ranked #3 in the CL.  Their offensive rebounding efficiency was 31.7%; their defensive rebounding efficiency was 74.3% (expressed as percent of opportunity).
   Shane Merryman led the team in scoring with 21.6 points a game; Derek Hinen was second with 12.9 points a game; T J Short was third with 11.9 points a game.
   Many contributed to the team's success:  25 points or more were scored in a game 12 times by 2 different players; 20 points or more were scored 30 times by 4 different players; 15 points or more were scored 56 times by 5 different players; and 10 points or more were scored 103 times by 10 different players.

   The Foresters shot 49.8% from the field, including 38.9% from beyond the arc, and connected on 74.3% of their free throws (#4 in the MCC).  They held opponents to just 44.6% from the field overall, including 35.6% from three-point range.
   In CL Conference games, HU shot 47.5%, including 38.0% from beyond the arc.  They made 75.3% of their free throws (#3 among CL teams in CL games).  They held CL opponents to just 45.1% from the field, including 35.2% from three-point range.
   Shane Merryman was the field goal percentage leader (2 attempts/gm minimum) at 57.0%.  Derek Hinen led in three-point shooting (with 1 attempt/gm min) at 43.6%.  Shane Merryman had the best free throw percentage (1 attempt/gm min) making 79.0% at the line.
   Forester rebounding was led by Shane Merryman with 8.0 per game.  Alec Peterson had 6.1 boards a game; T J Short averaged 4.3 rebounds.
   The assist leader was Derek Hinen at 5.13 per game.  Shane Merryman was second in assists averaging 2.38 a game, and T J Short was third with 2.16 assists per game.
   Shane Merryman led with 9 double doubles in 32 games.  Alec Peterson had 46 blocks in 25 games.  Derek Hinen had 34 steals this season.
   Coach Ty Platt's Record at HU is now 114-74 (60.6% wins) overall, 53-57 (48.2%) versus CL teams.
