Taylor was 10-21 overall last season; 6 players returned this season. The Trojans finished next to last in the MCC with a 3-13 record last season; they lost to Bethel in the first round of the MCC Tournament. They were last at the NAIA National Tournament in 2006.
The MCC Coaches poll predicted a seventh place finish for the Trojans this season.
Coach Paul Patterson begins his 31st season at Taylor. He has been named MCC Coach of the Year eleven times, and was named NAIA Coach of the Year in 1991.
