  Tyler Palmer, a senior at HU, will play a second season of basketball during the 2012-13 season as a walk-on.  Palmer scored 5 points last season with 3 rebounds, 1 addist and 1 steal in 6 games. As a senior at Northview HS, Palmer ranked #18 in the Three Rivers Conference in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game, connecting of 21 three-pointers.  In addition, he averaged 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals in their 10-10 season.

Palmer also participated in baseball and cross-country at Northfield.  While listed as an outfielder, the left-hander threw at least two no-hitters, one of which was a perfect game on April 15, 2009.  He became the first at Northfield HS since 1989 to pitch a perfect game, striking out 8 batters with a total of 83 pitches (58 strikes).

  Tyler Palmer Palmer was named to All-Three Rivers Conference First Team in baseball as an outfielder in 2009, but did not receive any All-TRC honors in basketball.  Those awards went to five other TRC players who have played in the MCC.  Three at Grace: Bruce Grimm, Jr, Greg Miller, and Natan VanDuyne.  Parker Stouffer at Indiana Wesleyan, and Spencer Krhin at Bethel.

Playing for the baseball Foresters in his two years, Palmer appeared in 24 games, pitching 22 games of those games for a total of 51-1/3 innings.  He held the Forester opponents to 48 hits in 195 at bats (a 0.246 average), recording 31 strike outs.  He had a 6.66 ERA over the two seasons.
