Mike Bush 5'7, 150 lbs, Jr. South Bend, IN John Adams High School
Mike Bush will begin his Huntington University basketball career at the start of the 2016-17 season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after two years with the Red Hawks of Lake Michigan College. In the 2015-16 season, Bush scored 368 points and handed out 244 assists, averaging 12.7 points, 8.4 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals a game.
Mike ranked 2nd in assists of all 435 NJCAA schools, and 18th with a 2.9 assist/turnover ratio. Averaging 30 minutes a game, he shot 36.3% from the field, 32.9% beyond the arc, and 79.7% at the line. He was named Second Team All Conference in the 18-team Michigan Community College Athletic Association. The Red Hawks finished 23-8 last season.
Bush is a 2014 graduate of South Bend Adams High School where he scored 584 career points for the Eagles. As a senior, he averaged 13.4 points a game, and scored 20 to 25 points on occasions. As a junior, Mike helped Adams win their Sectional Championship over Penn.
Mike was named to the 2014 Michiana High School All-Star Basketball team, and was listed among the top 100 players in Indiana by the Rick Bolus High Potential Recruiting Service in 2014. As a junior, Bush was invited to the 4th Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic Junior Games in 2013. Bush has a great skill set, plus a good attitude and strong work ethic to go with it.
