	Kyle Platt returns as a junior on the Forester roster for the 2016-17 season.  Last season he averaged 3.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists with a 1.57 assist/turnover ratio.  He shot 35.0% (36 of 103) from the field, 33.3% (30 of 90) from long range, and 76.2% (16 of 21) at the line. Kyle graduated from Huntington North High School where he averaged 12.0 points and 6.7 rebounds as a senior.  He shot 53% from three point-range and holds the 3-point percentage record at Huntington North.  He put in 82% (75-92) of his free throw attempts and pulled in 154 rebounds in 23 games.  Kyle Platt had a monster 14 rebounds in a win over New Castle Feb 10, and posted several other double doubles his senior year.

		On Feb 13, 2014, Platt had a double double with a career-high 29 points (11 of 15 from the field, 6 of 6 at the line) and a game high 12 rebounds.  He had 28 points versus Munster in the Holiday Hoops Tournament on Dec 28, 2013, sinking 12 of 15 field goal attempts and going 3 of 4 from the line.  On Nov 27, he scored 20 points in a win over Homestead. Platt received All-Northeast Indiana Honorable Mention, Indiana Basketball Coaches Honorable Mention, and was among Hoosier Basketball Magazine's Top 100 Seniors.  He was also selected for the Indiana Border Wars Team and named to the 2014 IBCA Academic All-State Team, which considers grade-point average, college board scores, and class academic ranking.
