Kyle Hartman 6'0, 150 lbs Columbia City, IN Bishop Dwenger High School
Kyle Hartman will be playing basketball at Huntington University in the 2015-16 season. After a 5-13 start last season, the Saints reeled off 9 straight wins to make the Semi-State, after winning back-to-back boys basketball Regional titles. Hartman scored 14 points in the Regional Championship game and put in 20 points in the Saints' win over Bishop Luers in the Class 3A Sectional.
Hartman, a four-year varsity player, started all 19 games for Bishop Dwenger in 2014-15, averaging 11.0 points and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 50.0% from the field, 41.7% from long range and 71.2% at the line. Hartman was named to the All-SAC First Team as a senior.
Hartman received Honorable Mention in the IBCA All-State team voting and was ranked "Best of the Rest" by Kentucky Prep Hoops. He was also selected for the 23rd Nancy Rehm Border Wars Roster. Dwenger coach Matt Kostoff described Hartman as a "quick, good ball-handler, with great basketball IQ." Hartman describes himself as a player who is "always working hard and a kid who never gives up when it gets tough." He was ranked #5 in the Class of 2015 in Fort Wayne and #22 in the State at point guard. His signing with HU prompted a TV interview in Fort Wayne. See Video
