	Drew Benedict returns to the HU line-up for the 2015-16 season.  As a freshman, Drew scored 139 points in 25 games, putting in 41 triples while shooting 43.2% from beyond the arc.  Last season he added 37 more for a total of 78 three-pointers at HU.  He has accumulated a career free throw percentage of 83.9% (47 of 56) and team best 2.67 assist/turnover ratio. Benedict averaged 15 points a game his senior year at CCHS, putting in 50 three-pointers.  He holds the school record for most 3-pointers made and attempted in a season and a career.  He scored 1,283 points at Columbia City HS, the second highest total in school history (a history that includes Doug Sheckler, the Shively brothers and the Moore brothers).

		Benedict was named to the 2012-13 All-NHC First Team and the 2012-13 All-Area Boys Basketball Second Team.  He was included in the 2013 list of Hoosier Basketball's Top 100 Senior Boys and received Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Senior Honorable Mention in March.  As a junior, Drew received All-State Underclassmen Honorable Mention from the IBCA. On 3/23/13, the Indiana Recruiting Guide listed Drew as the #104 player in the State and #32 of all Point Guards.  Not only a basketball player, Drew was the #3 singles player on the Columbia City High School tennis team and was the Most Valuable Player on the CCHS Golf Team as a junior.  In addition, Benedict made the Senior Honors list this past year.
