Caleb Kennedy had an outstanding junior year in 2010-11 with 352 points and 228 rebounds. Caleb averaged 11.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.6 steals a game. He has now accumulated 865 points at Huntington and should reach the 1,000 point plateau during the 2011-12 campaign. His game highs in 2010-11 included 23 points versus Madonna, 14 rebounds and 7 assists at Ind Wesleyan, and 4 blocks at St Francis. Caleb was an outstanding player at Eastern Hancock High School (2A), averaging a double double in his junior and senior years. As a senior, he averaged 21.0 points and 14.8 rebounds. His rebound average was #2 in the entire IHSAA and he was #4 in the Indy Metro area in scoring. Caleb led the Royals to a 15-9 record and a Sectional Title in 2008, scoring 32 points and pulling in 15 rebounds in a Regional game. |

In his 24-game senior high school year, Kennedy had 15+ rebounds in 10 different games and 20 or more three times out. He never had less than 10 rebounds. He also had 2 or more blocked shots in 6 games, scored 20 or more points in 15 games, and over 30+ in 3 games. He also hit at least 1 three-pointer in 8 different games. Kennedy's efforts earned him Indiana Basketball Coaches’ Association All-State Honorable Mention in 2008. He was ranked in Indiana's Top 75 by Rick Bolus Basketball Recruiting Service, and was a Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Workout Players. He was also the Indianapolis Star All-Metro East Player of the Year, the Greenfield Daily Reporter All-Hancock County Player of the Year for two years, and participated in the Hoosier All-Star Classic at the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown. |
