Andrew Mock

Andrew Mock started at point guard as a freshman, scoring 121 points and dishing out 102 assists (high of 9 assists versus Calumet-St Joseph). As a sophomore, he continued to improve; he averaged 4.5 assists per contest (#3 in the MCC), scored 4.5 points, had 1.9 rebounds, and 0.7 steals a game. He had high games of 16 points and 12 assists this season, while hitting 35.4% from three-point range and 88.9% at the line. He was #5 in the MCC with a 2.26 assist/turnover ratio. As a senior at Wawasee High School, Andrew shared Most Valuable Player two years and was Co-Captain two years. He put in 53 of the team's 143 three-pointers in 2006-07 and hit 5 treys in one game on his way to 23 points. Mock was an All-Northern Lakes Conference, an All-Sectional player, and and an All-Regional player. He was an All-Northeast Indiana Second Team Selection of the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, and named to the Goshen News All-Area Third Team. |
Mock is an all-around athlete, having earned 12 varsity letters; four each in basketball, football and track. He was the first in Wawasee HS history to do so. He was elected Team Captain in all three sports. Mock was the leading receiver on the football team his last two years and the 6th leading receiver in the conference averaging 65.5 yds and 1 TD a game. He earned All-Conference status and was AP All-State Honorable Mention in football. He also earned All-State recognition in track and is enshrined in the Wawasee "Walk of Fame" as a member of the record-setting State finals 4 x 400 relay team. Mock was an outstanding HS student, a member of the Wawasee Academic Hall of Fame, the National Honor Society, and a four-time Wawasee Scholar Athlete. He is majoring in exercise science at Huntington. |
