Alec Peterson Alec had some NCAA D1 offers, but flew under the radar for most teams that season as Carmel experienced its first losing season in nine years.  The Greyhounds were just 10-13 overall and 2-5 in the Metropolitan Conference.  Carmel's leading scorer (Josh Baldridge) averaged 14.2 points a game, just 3.5 a game better than Peterson.

Peterson was acknowledged as one of the 16 "Best of the Best" players by the Hamilton County Sports Daily and was named to The Times 2011 Noblesville & Hamilton All-County Team.  He was also included in the list of Top 100 seniors by Hoosier Basketball Magazine, listed in the "Third 25" of Rick Bolus' High Potential Basketball Recruits in Indiana, and ranked sixth in the State at his position by Indiana Basketball Digest.
