A Preview of the Fall Fundraiser for the Forester Basketball Program

FOURTH ANNUAL DINNER

The Fourth Annual Meet-the-Team Night will be held Tuesday evening, October 23, at the North Star Civic Center. The address is 2824 Theatre Avenue, Huntington, IN.

Festivities begin at 6:00 PM with appetizers and the silent auction. Don’t be late; this is when you can actually Meet the Team! The selection of silent auction items promises to be bigger and better than previous years. These are the best deals in town.

ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE 
The Dinner is one of two annual fundraisers designed to support Huntington University Men’s Basketball. The other is the Annual Golf Outing that is held each July.

These two events, along with corporate sponsorships and individual contributions, allow Forester fans to fill the gap between what the University budget provides and what the NAIA allows Division II schools to have in the way of basketball scholarships.

When you have student athletes the caliber of those in the Forester program, you want them to compete on a level playing field, and that’s what this is all about.

KEY AUCTION ITEMS 
The complete list of auction items is still being finalized, but here’s what we know.

It will include a new sports vehicle (such as quad or scooter), tickets to Bulls, Colts and Pacer games, sports memorabilia and other items at prices that are totally irrelevant.

Silent auction items include home services, financial services, personal services, auto services, meals out, golfing, memberships, weekend getaways, collectibles, household items, entertainment and lots more.
