New Foresters . . . continued from page 1

Here's a quick look at the incoming freshmen.

ANDREW MOCK (5'8, 150)

Andrew Mock averaged 11.0 points, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game for the Wawasee High School (3A) Warriors last season.  He shared Most Valuable Player on the team the past two seasons, and he was elected Team Co-Captain both years, as well.

Mock connected on 53 three-pointers last year, shooting 34% from long range.  He hit five three-pointers on his way to scoring 23 points against NorthWood, and his outside shot led the Warriors to a triple overtime win over Concord. In that game, he had 17 points and hit a three-point buzzer-beater at the end of the second overtime.

He led the Warriors in free throw shooting with an 87.1% average, tops in the Northern Lakes Conference and fifth
Mock in the State of Indiana.

Mock was an All-Conference basketball player and an All-Sectional player the past two years. He was an All-Regional player as a senior.  He was an All-Northeast Indiana selection by the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, and he was named to an All-Area Team by Goshen News last season, as well.

Mock is an all-around athlete, earning 12 Varsity letters; four each in basketball, football and track. He is the first athlete in Wawasee HS history to do that. Further, he was elected Team Captain in all three sports.

Andrew was the leading receiver on the Wawasee HS football team the past two years and was the 6th leading receiver in the conference with 65.5 yards and 1 TD per game.  He earned All-Conference status and AP All-State Honorable Mention in football, and also earned All-State recognition in track. In fact, he’s enshrined in the WHS "Walk of Fame" as a member of the record-setting State Finals 4x400 relay team.

Mock’s basketball ability put him among the Top 100 Indiana College prospects this spring, as determined by the Rick Bolus Basketball Recruiting Service.

Andrew is also an outstanding student; a member of the Wawasee Academic Hall of Fame, the National Honor Society, and four-time Wawasee Scholar Athlete.

Mock expects to major in exercise science at Huntington.
