Meet-the-Team Night: Dinner and Auction
Quick Preview of the Fall Fundraiser for the Forester Basketball Program
 |

|
|
SECOND ANNUAL DINNER
The 2005 Annual Meet-the-Team Night is on Tuesday, October 25, at the North Star Civic Center in Huntington, and the event is already sold out.
The festivities begin with a social hour and appetizers at 6:00 PM. Don’t be late; there will be outstanding silent auction items available at that time and you can also check out the live auction items that will be offered after the dinner and program.

ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE
As you certainly know by now, the Dinner is one of two annual fundraisers for the Forester Basketball program. The other is the Golf Outing held in July.
These two events, along with corporate sponsorships and individual donations, let Forester fans try to fill the gap between what school budgets provide in basketball scholarships and what the NAIA allows the Division II schools to have.

|
When you have student athletes the caliber of those in the Forester program, you want to see them compete on a level playing field, and that’s what this is all about.

LIST OF AUCTION ITEMS
We don’t yet know all the auction items that will be offered, but we can give you an idea by listing a few that are known now.
Silent auction items will include home services, gift certificates, auto services, club memberships, meals, overnight stays, craft items, collectibles, memorabilia, household furnishings, jewelry, sporting goods and more. Live auction items will feature some exceptional items from quality suppliers at prices that will be totally irrelevant (it’s a benefit auction).
If you can’t make the dinner, you can make a donation with a check to Huntington University (note “Men’s Basketball” on the memo line) and send it to: Coach Steve Platt, Huntington University, 2303 College Avenue, Huntington, IN 46750.
