DOUG SHECKLER (FORWARD, 6'6, 205)

Doug Sheckler returns for his second season as a Forester.
Despite nagging injuries and missing five games because of a concussion, Doug showed the fans why he was so highly rated coming out of high school.
As a freshman, Doug averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1 block and 1 steal and was named to the All-MCC Third Team.

Doug eagerly awaits next season and he will be a force on both offense and defense in the coming seasons.

STEVE SNIDER (FORWARD, 6'7, 215)

 |
Four years ago, Steve Snider arrived at Huntington with great potential and, after lots of work, the potential became reality.
Steve has improved every year, becoming a solid and consistent player, averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds a game, but always playing best in the big games.
Steve needs just 87 points to join the 1,000 point club this year and
|
that should come to him easily in November.
Snider has received All-MCC honors three years in a row and we don't expect him to miss out on his fourth year.

CHASE VERBA (FORWARD, 6'6, 200)

Chase Verba is the other senior on this year's roster. And he, too, has earned All-MCC honors every year he's played, scoring his 1,000th point last season.
With the addition of new players to the line up last season, Chase took on new roles and played every position last year.
Verba is a great competitor and the ultimate team player, having
|

 |
sacrificed personal goals for the benefit of the team.
Chase will make us smile again this year. He's a great player with a great attitude, and a natural leader that inspires others around him, as well.

JARED YODER (GUARD, 5'11, 165)

Jared Yoder may have surprised some people as a sophomore, but not those who already knew of his athletic ability.
After being injured his freshman year and learning the ropes in Coach Platt's system, Jared settled into his role.
Yoder averaged 6.2 points last season, but just as important was his 2 to 1 assist/turnover ratio.

 |
With a solid year of experience, look for Jared Yoder to be a floor leader this season. And he can put up some points when given an opportunity.
Change of School Name Ripples through Fan Web Site
HC WILL NEVER WIN AGAIN
Experts predict that Huntington College will never again win the MCC Title. They say it will never again win an MCC Tournament Championship or ever appear at another NAIA national tournament. That's because the school will change its name to Huntington University this summer.
While the name change meant work for the school, it also created work for the Forester Fan web site too. At first, it seemed that the "C" in HCHoops could be replaced with a "U", but "HUH" followed by "oops" looked like a couple of mistakes. So another domain name was selected for this fall: HuntingtonHoops.net

TRANSITION TO HUNTINGTONHOOPS.NET
The transition to the new site will be gradual. The old web site will continue to operate in parallel with the new one until the end of this year. As new pages are built, they'll appear on HuntingtonHoops.net and pages at the old site will start providing links to those new pages.
The new site will have a new look and will employ some new features, but that will require more bandwidth. Hopefully, this will not present a problem, but if it does let us know. Please pass along any complaints, problems or suggestions to Harrington@HuntingtonHoops.net.
While Forester Fans can get Huntington Hoops information at either domain name for several months, get ready for the future and start using (and bookmark) the new domain name at: HuntingtonHoops.net.
