TY RIDDLE (GUARD, 6'0, 175)

 |
Ty Riddle comes to Huntington University from Muncie Central High School (4A State Finalists).
Riddle averaged 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals last season, while shooting 49% from the field, 43% from long range and 93.5% at the line!
Ty had 17 points in one quarter last season, went 6 of 6 in one half of the Semi-State win, and |
went 7 of 7 from downtown in a game versus Ben Davis.
Ty is a tough competitor and he can make a difference with his great outside shot.

GEOFF SCHEETZ (GUARD, 5'8, 155)

Geoff Scheetz is from Plymouth High School. As a starter in every game last season, Geoff averaged 13 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
He had 27 points in a win over Warsaw, hitting 8 of 13 from beyond the arc, and scored 30 points in two Regional games.
For the season, Geoff connected on 63% from the field, 38% from
|

 |
beyond the arc, and 80% at the free throw line.
Goeff is another outstanding student. He's a smart and highly self-disciplined athlete.

RYNE THORNTON

 |
Ryne Thornton is a homeschooled product who will be playing with the Foresters next fall.
Thornton was a four-year starter for the Indianapolis Northwest Warriors, who won the Class 2A National Homeschool Basketball Championships in Oklahoma City this past season.
Ryne was named an All-American and MVP of the Tournament. In
|
addition, Thornton was an Indiana Homeschool State All-Star each of the four years he played with the Warriors.
As a senior, Ryne averaged 23 points a game (high of 42 points), 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 1 block per game. He shot 47% from the field and hit 73% at the line, but it may take a year to adapt to this level.
Eight Experienced Players Ready for Next Season
TEAM TAKES AIM ON MCC AND NAIA TITLES
The Foresters have a great set of players returning next season. With the addition of Kyle Benge, they now have four All-State players. They will also have a great mix of experience, height, strength, ball-handling ability, and outside shooting on this team now.
Here's a quick look at the returning Foresters. As before,

KYLE GANTON (FORWARD, 6'5, 195)

 |
Kyle Ganton, second leading scorer for the team and All-MCC Second Team player last season, returns for his junior year.
Ganton has 801 points after two seasons, averaging 14.2 points and 2.6 rebounds a game.
Last season, he hit 46.3% from the field, including 39.8% from three-point land, and shot 86.8% at the free throw line.

|
Kyle is likely to join the 1,000 point club this season. He may end up as one of the top scorers at Huntington.

JAMES HAIFLEY (GUARD, 6'0, 195)

James Haifley became a fan favorite with his aggressive play.
He led the Foresters in fewest turnovers per minute played and had the best assist/turnover in the MCC (#9 in the NAIA).
Last season, James shot 48.5% from the field and 53.3% from beyond the arc. He was in the top five in assists and rebounds per minutes played.

|

 |
We look forward to seeing James return for his junior year. We know he's more than ready for it, too.

ALEX KOCK (FORWARD, 6'6, 215)

 |
Alex Kock, a surprise transfer last season, had a tremendous impact on the MCC.
Alex led the Foresters in scoring and rebounding and was named All-MCC First Team, MCC Player of the Year and MCC Newcomer of the Year.
Alex scored over 30 points four different games, and racked up over 600 points last season. He |
might join the 1,000 point club in his second year.
What a player to have returning as a junior. He will end up as one of the top scorers before his Huntington career comes to an end.

SETH LOCHMUELLER (GUARD, 6'1, 165)

Seth Lochmueller returns for his junior year. A starter in several games last year, Seth displayed his ability to handle the ball and create open shots by driving the lane (a 1.9 assist/turnover ratio).
Seth scored 12 points versus Indiana Wesleyan and had 5 assists versus Goshen before being knocked out of the game (quite literally).

|

 |
Look for Lochmueller to make things happen this year. He's a competitor and loves to drive to the basket.
