Goshen: The Foresters totally dominated the Leafs in the first match up winning by 20 points, 84-64.  Kyle Ganton had 20 points, Alex Kock had 17 points with 12 rebounds; Steve Snider had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks; Chase Verba had 12 points and 3 steals; Seth Lochmueller had 8 points and 5 assists.

Spring Arbor: In the first ever MCC game versus Spring Arbor, Huntington coasted to an 82-64 win.  Doug Sheckler scored 27 points!  But it was Adam Bontreger (photo at right) with his 11 assists that got everyone in the game.  Alex Kock had a solid game with 16 points and 8 rebounds; Steve Snider scored 14 and got 5 rebounds; while Kyle Ganton scored 10 points. Bethel: The first Bethel game was the high-point game of the season for Alex Kock and any Forester.  Alex
Alex (photo at left) scored 36 points, connecting on 14 of 20 from the field, including 4 of 5 from long range.  In addition, he grabbed 9 rebounds as the Foresters overcame a three-point half time deficit to win going away in Mishawaka 83-66.  Kyle Ganton scored 15 points; Steve Snider had 10 points with 8 rebounds; and Chase Verba had 10 points to go with 7 rebounds.

Indiana Wesleyan: Feeling confident with a 7-1 MCC record, the Foresters weren’t ready to meet the 1-7 Wildcats.  Indiana Wesleyan shot 63% from the field and handed the Foresters a 74-84 loss at home.  Steve Snider had 17 points; Alex Kock had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.  Doug Sheckler and Seth Lochmueller each had 12 points; Kyle Ganton had 11 points and 4 boards.  But the Foresters were now 7-2.

St. Francis: After this game (in Fort Wayne), HC was 7-3.  The Foresters went scoreless the first six minutes, but they came back to tie it at the half.  Over the course of the evening, the Cougars hit 10 of 19 (53%) from three-point range and HC lost in overtime 84-87.  Kyle Ganton had a season high 32 points, hitting 14 of 15 from the line; Alex Kock had 14 points and 7 rebounds; Steve Snider had 13 points and 6 rebounds; Adam
 
Bontreger had 11 points; Chase Verba had 8 rebounds.

Taylor: The games in Upland are never easy and the Foresters were sitting just half a game behind Taylor in the MCC race.  Overcoming 17 turnovers, the Foresters played hard enough to return home with a 55-50 win to regain the MCC Conference lead.  Alex Kock scored 15 points; Doug Sheckler had 13 points and 9 boards; Seth Lochmueller had 4 assists to go with his 6 points.

Grace: Three days later, the Lancers arrived for their second game of the series.  After 30 minutes of play, Grace led by 12; they had hit 8 three-pointers in the second half alone, but the Foresters recovered.

After scoring just 43 points in the first 30 minutes, HC scored 34 points in the final 10 minutes and won 77-72.  As in the first Grace game, Doug Sheckler led the Foresters with 19 points and 5 rebounds; Alex Kock had 18 points and 5 rebounds; Kyle Ganton had 13 points;
Steve Snider scored 12.

Marian: On Feb. 5, the Foresters avenged the loss to Marian, defeating the Knights 75-69 at home.  Alex Kock scored 20 points and pulled in 6 rebounds; Kyle Ganton had 12 points, and Jared Yoder had 10.  But, James “Hustle” Haifley (photo at right) stole the show with 7 rebounds, 2 points and 2 assists in just 9 minutes of playing time.

Goshen: Huntington traveled to Goshen to continue their winning ways but ran into an inspired Leaf squad who handed the Foresters their fourth MCC loss of the season: 71-76.  It was the first HC loss to Goshen in seven years, knocking Huntington out of first place again.  Alex Kock had 19 points and 12 rebounds; Doug
Seth Sheckler had 14 points; Kyle Ganton and Steve Snider each had 12 points.

But, like Sheckler at Indiana Tech, another Forester hit the deck with a severe head injury.  This time it was Seth Lochmueller (photo at left) who went down hard, and it took several stitches and two weeks before he was able to return to the floor.

Spring Arbor: A trip to Spring Arbor put HC back on the winning track with a 75-60 romp.  Alex Kock led the
