Kyle Ganton (#2, 6'5 Sophomore)

Kyle Ganton, who is a sophomore from Coldwater, MI, (Bronson HS),grew up with three older sisters, Julie, Lori and Carrie, and one older brother, John.  Kyle is also an uncle to niece Breana and nephew Kameron, both of whom he is deservedly proud.

He spent this past summer helping his father on the family farm, and then collected stamps on his passport during a trip to Australia to visit his sister Lori, who is a
missionary nurse there.

Kyle was introduced to Huntington College by his HS basketball coach, Mick Miller, who was a Forester a few years ago.

It didn't take very much to convince Coach Platt to recruit an All-State player who was also a farm boy; the rest is history.

When Kyle isn't working on his game or working on a degree in elementary education, he enjoys watching ESPN: basketball, baseball, football and even the World Series of Poker.   One suggestion for you, Kyle.  Be sure you're just watching poker and not playing it.  If you lose your shirt, they won't let you go to class.

James Haifley (#3, 6'0 Sophomore)

James Haifley came to Huntington College out of Homestead HS in Fort Wayne. He was looking for a good Christian college close to home with a strong business program where he could get a chance to play basketball.  Huntington was
just what he wanted.

Of course, he already knew about Huntington College.  That's because his older sister Katie is a senior cheerleader at HC.

James has three younger siblings as well; he has two brothers and a sister. Ben is a senior at Homestead HS (and plays basketball for the Spartans); Joshua

is a sixth grader at Woodside Middle School, and Emily is a freshman at Homestead.

James is pursuing a degree in business management, along with Economics, and plans to work in real estate.  He readily admits that classes and basketball take up the bulk of his life now, but he enjoys outdoor activities and dabbling in the stock market as well.

No surprise here; James spent much of the summer playing basketball and lifting weights.   He also did some landscaping and managed to enjoy time in the off-season with family and friends.

Jared Yoder (#5, 5'11 Sophomore)

Jared Yoder came to Huntington College planning to play on the tennis team (he was a four-time sectional champ in HS), but it didn't take long to realize that he wanted to play basketball.

While in HS, he attended many games in which his brother Derek played, and he got hooked on Forester basketball.  He also liked what he saw during visits to the campus and knew this was the place for him.

Jared is one of three boys in the Yoder family:  his older brother Derek just graduated from HC last spring, and younger brother Justin is now a freshman at Westview HS.

Jared is from Shipshewana, IN, where he worked in a local factory this past summer.  He also found some time to workout and hang with his friends.  Jared plans on utilizing his athletic interest by majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training.

When he's not spending his time on academics and athletics, Jared says he enjoys spending time with his friends, playing tennis, golf, swimming, playing cards (watch out Kyle), tipping an occasional cow, and taking a much deserved nap.

Alex Kock (#42, 6'6 Sophomore)

Alex Kock (pronounced "cook") has transferred to Huntington College after playing basketball at Wright
