than senior point guard Adam Bontreger and junior center Steve Snider you may see the
other nine Foresters playing different positions in every game.
The outside shooting will need to come from Bontreger, Seth Lochmueller, Trevor and Trent Shively, and Jared Yoder. Chase
Verba, Snider, Sheckler, and Kock will need to dominate the boards.
With the pickup of two 6'6 players (Sheckler and Kock), the Forester may focus on scoring inside this year.
 Changes in the Staff
Not only will personnel on the floor be different, but there will be a new face on the
sidelines. Huntington College graduate and former HC staff member Mark Green has been named Assistant Coach, as Keith Spahr returns to his previous role of chief scout for the Foresters.
Coach Platt is excited about the addition of Green, "Mark will bring a new enthusiasm to the
team. He has a lot of energy and relates very well with the kids." Green shares the excitement and is looking forward to his return to Huntington College.
 What the Players Say
With the changes on the Foresters' roster there is a feeling of anticipation around campus
waiting "to get it started." Junior Trevor Shively shares his perspective. "The team and all the fans are pumped about the season," Shively says. "We have good returning players, teaming up
with some of the best available recruits in Indiana this year. How could we not be hyped?"
As noted, a strength of this team is versatility. "Most times we will have four guys on the floor that can play any position," says Chase
Verba. Thus, Huntington will take advantage of the mismatches that are created.
One more opportunity comes along with the new season, and that's a chance to play three NCAA D1 teams. With rule changes no longer allowing
those schools to play AAU teams in exhibition, the NAIA schools have a chance to show their stuff.
"Playing D1 schools will give us an opportunity to show them how good NAIA schools really are," says Adam
Bontreger. "By playing schools that are stronger and more athletic, it'll prepare us for the level of physicality we'll need throughout the year to be successful."
All in all, this should be a very exciting year to be a Forester Fan! The entire MCC is a lot stronger and the competition will be fierce.
You're gonna love it.

Spring Arbor Joins the MCC
The MCC Conference Expands to Nine Teams
Spring Arbor University (Spring Arbor, MI) joins the MCC this fall. Similar to
other MCC schools, SAU is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church and has an undergraduate enrollment of about 1,500 students.
The Foresters played the Cougars in Spring Arbor last year, returning
home with a 71-56 win.
With nine teams in the MCC mix, scheduling will be different from previous years. MCC Conference games are not limited to January and February any more.
The MCC Conference season will start on Tuesday, Nov 23, when the Foresters visit Indiana Wesleyan.
