When a program gets national attention, it's time for some local attention, so this is it:  HC Hoops News, all about Huntington College Men's Basketball, the most successful program at any level in the entire State!

Four issues of HC Hoops News are planned for this season; October, January, March and June.  Check notes at the bottom of the HuntingtonHoops.net home page to know when a new issue gets put on-line.

The New Foresters

Different Strengths than Last Year's Team

The Foresters can anticipate another great year, despite the graduation of their two NAIA All-Americans.

Coming Off a Great Season

Huntington College is coming off their fourth trip to Branson in five years.  They finished with a 25-9 record last season, reaching the "Sweet Sixteen" of the NAIA National Tournament (held near Branson, MO).

The Forester finished the season ranked #14 in the NAIA D2 polls.  With eight players returning from that talented team and the three new outstanding players, things are looking bright in T'ing Town.

Changes in the Players

It isn't easy to replace the three-point shooting of Derek Yoder, or the rebounding of Ryan Thwaits, but the new Foresters will have great depth with the additions of Trent Shively and Doug Sheckler from Columbia City HS, and sophomore Alex Kock from DeKalb HS, a transfer from Wright State (NCAA D1).

All three of them played in an Indiana Class 4A State Championship game in the past two years.

With the addition of the new recruits, VERSATILE will be the key word for the 2004-2005 Foresters.  Other
